How does the garden work?
- You get new plants in your garden
- Your existing baby plants grow
On days you don’t spend anything, you won’t get a summary. Instead, your garden grows automatically!

What are coins and points?
Points fuel the leaderboard. They reset at the start of each season.
To earn coins and points:
- Trade plants and animals from your garden. Higher rarity means more coins and points.
- Review your summaries. Each summary review earns you 10 coins and 10 points. You automatically get 10 coins and 10 points on days you don’t have a summary to review.
To exchange coins for rewards, tap on the rewards chest in your garden.
Exchange coins for eligible rewards by tapping 'Exchange'.
When you exchange coins, they are deducted from your coins balance.
What happens if I don't review a summary?
Review your summary and your withered plant or animal becomes healthy again.
No new plants or animals appear until the entire garden is unwithered.
What happens if I spend more than my limit?
Do I have to connect a bank account to start my challenge?
Here’s how it works without a bank connected:
- The Imp texts you each night at your check-in time. All you have to do is reply with the amount you spend (e.g. “$26.78”)
- If you don’t reply to The Imp within 14 hours, it will wither one of your plants. Reply to The Imp’s next check-in text, and the plant recovers
- The Imp steals one plant from your garden if you go over your limit

Can I quit mid-challenge?
What happens after I successfully tame spending on one category?
Super lets you choose up to 3 challenge categories and earn plants, coins, and points for each one.
Here’s how it works:
- Securely link your bank accounts
- Choose up to 3 challenge categories
- Your spend is automatically tracked
- The Imp texts you spending summaries
- Earn plants, coins, and points for each of your challenge categories when you review The Imp’s summaries
- Your garden grows by itself and you automatically earn coins and points on days you don’t spend anything
Super costs $8.99/season (each season lasts 4 weeks) and it’s optional to upgrade.
If you go Super mid-season, you’ll be charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the season (The Imp can be considerate sometimes 😇).
If you cancel, you’ll still have Super through the end of the current season and go back to Basic at the start of the next season.
